In the proposal designed for Yenikapı, the city archives structure blends into a texture including a transfer station be low ground, commercial units also in relation with other levels on the ground, and an urban canopy at the upper level. Museum space is totally particularized and spread over the area. The canopy serves as a clear separator between the commercial activity on the ground level and the museum level, while forming a platform for pedestrian traffic.
